A new tournament has been launched in sporting MMO Empire of Sport, we learn today, the game running a virtual tennis tournament in honour of the Australian Open.

The competition is open to all players, and will run for three weeks in tandem with the Aussie showcase. Proceedings began yesterday, so you might want to get involved as soon as possible, if you hope for a shot at the prizes.

We hear there will be three levels of tournament, depending on your ability, so even if you've the hand-eye coordination of Lindsey Lohan on a Friday night drive you should be in with a shot. Prizes range from 750 to 1,500 Euros.
