Velvet Assassin will include controversial drug use
Morphine will not be cut from WWII title
Upcoming WWII espionage 'em up Velvet Assassin will include real drug use that will almost certainly see the game banned or heavily censored in certain countries - particularly Australia.
Historically appropriate use of morphine will play a gameplay role in the new stealth-action game coming from SouthPeak, the drug used to slow time in this respect.
Apparently, morphine was widely used during the war (albeit not to slow down time), and the publisher are determined not to budge from the inclusion as it "fits the realism of the game".
MTV were told by marketing manager Aubrey Norris that the developer will preserve their "artistic integrity" by keeping the drug in place. Thoughts?
