Online card-trading game PoxNora (previously owned by Octopi) has today been bought out by Online Entertainment, we learn.

Apparently, PoxNora's team will be amalgamated into a new Tucson-based studio for SOE, and will aid work on Sony card-trading games as well as strategy-based titles.

PoxNora was released back in 2006 and is something of a cult success, presumably prompting SOE to make the acquisition, given their existing dabbling in the genre via Free Realms.

"Our and trading card games have been successful beyond our wildest dreams," beamed boss John Smedley.

"Expanding with a great product like PoxNora and the outstanding development team from Octopi gives us a chance to extend our strategy game offerings and enhance the ones we already field."
