Nirvana rocker taken by Rock Band 2
Bassist fumbles with classic track in game
Speaking with Seattle Weekly, ex-Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic has admitted that playing his own songs are actually quite taxing on Rock Band 2 - the musician admitting he "couldn't quite master this new, different way of playing".
While the bassist struggles to play Nirvana songs included in EA and MTV's popular music game, he sees the benefit of the emerging music-game medium, stating that it "is leading to a revival of bands that have been around for a long time."
Apparently, Novoselic tried to play classic Nirvana track In Bloom, and he revealed: "The game reminded me of Space Invaders. I tried to hit the notes cascading down the screen, but could barely keep up."
Overall, it seems the veteran rocker is rather taken with the game - also noting that once again people are paying for music, rather than downloading it for free from the internet.
