Blazing a new trail

French gaming giant Ubisoft are lining up a new Call of Juarez game, the gritty Western series set to return through Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, which will be positioned as prequel to the original gun-slinging hit.

The original Call of Juarez was a surprise favourite with the critics, and while it didn't sell in stellar quantities we're pleased to see it getting another shot. If you'll pardon the pun.

"Call of Juarez was well received by gamers and critics," beamed John Parkes, Ubi marketing big wig.

"We’re confident this new collaboration with Techland will bring an even bigger and better adventure to fans of shooters and the lawless Wild West."

The new Call of Juarez will mosey on into town later this year, on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
