Rumours surround further EA lay-offs
More news of staff cuts emerges
Third-party giant EA have already confirmed plans to lay-off over 1,000 workers, as part of cut-backs which also see studios closed and projects cancelled. Today, Kotaku report that yet more jobs could still go at the game maker, however.
The blog cites a source within the publisher as confirming that potentially an additional 400 developers could laid-off come March, with EA Mobile one of the areas worst impacted.
It could be the case these staffers will leave as part of the original restructuring plan, or these could be fresh cuts. Full-time workers and contractors are affected.
No word on this from EA as yet.
