PSP up, but DSi takes Japanese crown
Latest hardware sales revealed
Despite a late surge from the PSP handheld following the release of Dissidia: Final Fantasy, the DSi remains Japan's best-selling games console for the week ending January 4th.
The DSi was released in November in the land of the rising sun, and has lead charts since then, the handheld managing over 182,000 sales for the week in question.
The PSP was a strong second, with sales topping 157,000, the Wii third with just shy of 120,000 sales.
Sales of the PlayStation 3 were also up, hitting 60,000 in fourth place, the original DS managing 48,000, ahead of the Xbox 360 which nearly managed 20,000 units shifted.
The PS2 was last with sales over 12,000.
