Robbie Bach, Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices chief, told CES 2009 attendees yesterday that the Live Primetime service will reemerge in the spring. The new social feature was set for release alongside the New Xbox Experience, but was subsequently delayed.

In a generally low-key speech, by Microsoft's standards, affirmed the spring release - which we were already expecting after Redmond confirmed the slippage last October.

The update will include the eagerly anticipated social quiz game 1 vs. 100, which will allow gamers to duke it out for real prizes.

More on Microsoft's community building efforts soon.
