Xbox 360 passes 28 million worldwide
New milestone confirmed
Xbox 360 product manager Aaron Greenberg has said that 2008 was "the biggest year ever in Xbox history", Microsoft announcing that their next-generation console has now passed 28 million systems sold worldwide.
The executive believes that "the 199 USD price point was really critical to our success this holiday," the company beating the economic downturn to post strong sales.
Greenberg's focus on value echoes comments made by European boss Chris Lewis, who yesterday said: "As we move into 2009 and an uncertain economic climate, we continue to be committed to offering the right blend of gaming and entertainment experiences at the right price."
Inevitably, Microsoft are feeling rather proud about the 12 most just passed, and are predicting more greatness in 2009.
