Halo the CES focus for Microsoft
Significance of Ballmer speech played-down
Titillation online today suggests that Microsoft aren't exactly planning to blow us away at next week's Consumer Electronics Show, despite CEO Steve Ballmer taking centre stage in a keynote address from the Xbox 360 maker.
Reports suggest that Microsoft will, in the main, draw attention to RTS Halo Wars, and Bungie's Halo 3 expansion, early indications suggesting there won't be any bombshells - such as what Peter Molyneux is working on next.
That said, Redmond must surely have major plans for the 360's line-up in 2009, beyond the games we already know about, so we'll still be keeping an eye on Ballmer's address for indications of other titles, and it seems unlikely we won't hear anything new - given the high-profile involvement of Ballmer himself.
More from Las Vegas as we get it (well, from Wednesday, that is).
