Crossword game bids 2008 farewell on XBLA
Endorsed by a dead game show host...
It's Wednesday, and despite today being New Year's Eve Microsoft have pumped their last Xbox Live Arcade release of 2008 into existence; offering up Merv Griffin's Crosswords.
Apparently, the game is based on a game show of the same name, which sees contestants battling it out over a variety of Crossword-based games.
Good wholesome family fun is the theme here - although the game show motif and the puzzle-based gameplay is unlikely to challenge many of 2008's other releases.
Multiplayer support for up to five players is offered, across 1,000 puzzles, and Merv's opus can be yours for 800 Microsoft Points. Griffin died last year, apparently, although he remains famous in his native United States.
