The UK's retailers may be desperately slashing prices post-Christmas in a bid to squeeze a few more sovereigns from the embattled economy, and it appears that are joining them - the game maker announcing a raft of deals.

The Steam Holiday Sale began on Friday, and will run until the 2nd of January, with every game on the store marked down by between 10% and 75%.

Left 4 Dead is a bargain with 25% off, while can be yours for a paltry 4.99 USD, which is frankly insulting for a game so exquisite. is also going for a snip.

All and THQ's games are available at 25% off prices, while some of 2K's games offer even heavier discounts.
