Andrew Wilson installed as EA's new CEO
EA has named their choice to replace the departed John Riccitiello as their new chief executive officer.
Current vice president in charge of EA Sports Andrew Wilson is the board's firm choice to take over the role of CEO to lead the company forward into the new console generation.
Wilson has been with EA since 2000 and has worked his way through the company occupying senior roles in their Asia Online Publishing Group as well as a successful run as the executive producer on the FIFA franchise.
Interrim CEO and serving executive chairman Larry Probst said, “I am convinced that Andrew was an inspired choice by our Board, and one I expect the team at EA will enthusiastically support. Andrew is the first studio executive to serve as our CEO, a testament to his blend of creative skills and business acumen. He is a compelling and charismatic communicator who cares deeply about organizational development, teams, and the individual careers of people who work for EA. Most of all, he has a powerful sense of respect for and commitment to our consumers.”
