When (the developer founded by creator Warren Spector) was purchased in 2007 by Disney, the game design veteran admitted at the time that hardcore gamers might mock his firm's new creation.

A year and half down the line and it seems JP and Spector could be hard at work on a Mickey Mouse-based title, called Mickey.

Gamasutra.com report that they have seen concepts taken from the new game, hinting that a full reveal could be forthcoming in 2009.

Apparently, the site has seen mock-ups of potential environments, as well as sketches from in-game scenes, including one where machines unload Seven Dwarf-faced mechanoids onto a beach, "invasion" style.

Could be the West's answer to Kingdom Hearts, or something similar? We're intrigued.
