The has only been out a matter of weeks in Japan, but burgeoning pre-Christmas have already taken the new handheld revision past the one-million sales mark.

The new device does of course integrate a camera, alongside the dual touch-screens, and it was released in the land of the rising sun on November 1st.

Sales monitors Enterbrain confirmed the one-million milestone to IGN, and it looks as if the only way is up for the new gizmo.

The DSi is scheduled to launch in Western markets; and North America, next summer. We'll bring you more on this soon.
