Full backwards compatibility will arrive for on the PlayStation 3 tomorrow, according to word from the Sony-endorsed ThreeSpeech blog, who really should know.

Apparently, a new automatic update for the popular karaoke game will go live at 10am GMT upon the morrow, and it'll enable the PS3's SingStar to play any song from the old versions of the game - of which there are many.

Following the update, after starting up the game as normal you'll be able swap in any of the PS2 games and warble along to any of the tracks therein.

Enjoy.
