Ubisoft eying developer purchases
After missing out on Cryptic
More from Ubi finance boss Alain Martinez this morning, who reveals that the publisher missed out on MMO developer Cryptic, which was acquired by Atari earlier this week.
According to Gamasutra.com, who report this week from a UBS business conference, Ubisoft had been keen to acquire the online game developer.
"We lost Cryptic; it's a US company that was taken by Atari... We were a bit disappointed," the boss revealed.
However, Ubisoft are in the market for other developers, and will apparently be tying-up some large deals in the coming months.
"We have about three deals within [the] five million Euro range that we are negotiating," he continued. "Most probably, one or two of them will be closed in the next three or four months."
