Trine confirmed for PSN
New physics platformer spied
A new fantasy game has come to light this weekend, France's Nobilis and Finland's Frozenbyte lifting the lid on Trine, a new title due out in 2009 for the PC and downloadable on PlayStation Network.
The gameplay dynamic sounds quite unusual, players tasked with building usable physics 'objects' to defeat enemies and beat various puzzles. Visually, the game looks like Lord of the Rings-meets-LittleBigPlanet - and this is no bad thing.
Atmosphere abound in this new title which seems to be an embellished platformer at its heart.
"Trine is a true testament to Frozenbyte’s new strategy focusing on original IP. We can’t wait to have the game released on the PlayStation Network and PC," beamed Lauri Hyvarinen, CEO of Frozenbyte.
