Atari president Phil Harrison may have departed Computer Entertainment Europe, but the veteran executive clearly stills has a soft spot for his old charges, the big cheese talking up the prospects for the PlayStation Network's service.

Speaking with Eurogamer.net at Live, Harrison said the social networking world was a resounding success, and that the team had "brilliantly realised their ambitions," creating a "very successful platform".

Not wishing to sound partial, Harrison also notes the progress made on Live via the New Xbox Experience, which he believes is "just scratching the surface of what the whole recognises is that customisation, socialisation and community platforms are going to be just as important as the games themselves."

We'll bring you more sizable wisdom from Big Phil very soon.
