2010 debut for DC Universe?

Writer discusses MMO debut

Comic book writer Geoff Johns expects Sony Online's DC Universe to arrive in early 2010, although the new PC/PS3 MMO could be with us sooner than this.

The game, a collaboration between Sony Online and DC Comics, was announced at E3, and is being created at SOE Austin - home to Star Wars Galaxies.

"It launches I think in early 2010, it could be late 2009," Johns tells MTV this week.

"Everyone knows Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, but this game gets you more entrenched in the universe. You meet the Metal Men, or Doom Patrol, and everyone gets a chance to embody something different," he continued.

Johns is creating the plot for the new MMO, but won't pen all the dialogue we hear. More on this in due course, we hope.
