It appears there could be a few 'technical issues' underway over at Live HQ, admitting this morning that they are in the process of investigating mass disconnections.

Apparently, Microsoft aren't sure what is causing the widespread problems, but Live spokesman Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb did assure that his team are working hard to get to the bottom of these annoyances.

"In the past few hours, the Xbox Operations Center noticed that large number of members were disconnected from Xbox LIVE, some more than once," the exec admitted.

"Our Engineering teams are actively working to determine the root cause of this issue and to prevent it from happening again. If you are disconnected, you should be able to reconnect after a few minutes. Thanks for your patience as we work quickly to solve the issue."
