Wii sells big across Europe
Nintendo's baby passes 10 million
The Nintendo Wii phenomenon shows no sign of abating in Europe, GI.biz revealing that the 'disruptive' system sold more than 10 million copies in Europe in 2008.
A grand total of 10.8 million consoles have been sold by Nintendo, and we're also reliably informed that the PS3 has outsold the Xbox 360 during the year.
Beyond this financial report-derived news, we're told that the Xbox 360 has been picking up since last month's European price cut, Microsoft closing the gap on the PS3 thanks to this move.
Still, the Wii is far and away Europe's favourite, it would seem.
