Halo Wars out in February
MS confirm release plans
Halo Wars won't be with us in time for Christmas, as you might have already guessed, but that hasn't stopped Microsoft unveiling their release plans for Ensemble's RTS swan-song.
Standard and Limited Edition packs will be released come February 2009, we're told, with the special offering delivering up the Mythic Map Pack for Halo 3, including Assembly, Orbital and Sandbox areas.
A Halo Wars: Genesis comic book is also on the way as part of the Limited Edition, mastered by game designer Graeme Devine, with help from other Halo veterans, too. Interesting back-story is promised, while an Honor Guard in-game vehicle will also be offered, not to mention faction leader trading cards and the ability to begin the game as a member of the Spirit of Fire crew.
Meanwhile, gamers pre-ordering the standard pack won't be left out in the cold, they'll get an in-game Warthog to play with.
The Xbox 360 exclusive will be out in February.
