Team Ninja focus in on PS3
Bosses lavish praise on Sony format
Team Ninja executives Hitoshi Hasegawa and Yosuke Hayashi have told Gamasutra.com that they see great potential in the PlayStation 3 platform, and are also taking a long hard look at the Wii.
Hasegawa is the new boss of the Ninja Gaiden developer, the replacement for Itagaki, who departed the game maker after ongoing wranglings about royalties.
"The developers have been releasing products, but there is a bigger potential," Hayashi revealed.
"There is greater potential, and we see that possibility the most in the PlayStation 3. It’s going to be up to us developers and Sony to make sure that that does happen."
The new boss continued: "For any developer that’s been working on all of the platforms that are available today, I think they would agree that the PlayStation 3 is the most powerful system out there."
The execs also reveal that Wii creations are also likely, but that no decisions have been made yet. "We have a lot of Wii console fans within the company, so hopefully there’s something that we can work on," chimed in Hasegawa.
