Blizzard may have just confirmed that their behemoth has now passed 11 million subscribers, but this is just the tip of the iceberg, with the new Wrath of the Lich King add-on nearing release.

Today, send word that they're preparing for the expansion's arrival, with a midnight launch event scheduled to take place in London's Oxford Street HMV store.

"We’ve been looking forward to these launch events all year," beamed Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime.

"This is one of the few opportunities we get to meet with players in person, and we can’t wait to celebrate the release of Wrath of the Lich King with them."

Both versions of the new expansion will be on sale from the witching hour on November 12th, and we're promised plenty of entertainment; only in part provided by the inevitable legion of cos-players.
