Guitar Hero IP owners Red Octane have revealed that are hard at work on DJ Hero, the publisher clearly viewing dance as the next logical step as they build their music game empire.

Red Octane's Brian Bright confirmed the game's existence chatting with Joystiq, but he couldn't be drawn on the specifics of the new game.

"Activision’s doing a game, and I can’t comment on what we’re doing," Bright teased.

"We’re working on the future and next gen. If I wasn’t excited about it I wouldn’t be there."
