Chatting with site GameSpot, legendary designer has said that plays second-fiddle to Music and is a 'cover band' by comparison.

Wii Music is out on the 14th of November, but has so far drawn mixed review.

"As a game designer, I looked at Beatmania and Guitar Hero. Those games let people be the best cover band they could possibly be. As a musician, I wanted to create a game that lets people express themselves in music, and with Wii Music I think we achieved that," Miyamoto explained.

"With Wii Music, everyone in the house can pick it up and, within a few minutes, start playing music... Wii Music lets people experience that higher level of musical creation without having to spend years training."

The game maker describes his latest creation as a arrangement 'engine', and apparently it'll let you play around with some 60 tracks - creating different sounds depending upon your actions.

He adds that this isn't a game aimed at casual or hardcore gamers, but rather its all about music fans. He also teased that hasn't been forgotten.
