Capcom pleased with Sony support
Sony giving publisher special store front online
Capcom have lavished a lot of time and resources upon their online-delivered games; their catalogue including both new creations and re-releases of classic hits. In honour of this, Sony are giving the publisher their own branded PlayStation Store front.
Commenting on the move, a first for the PlayStation Store, Capcom praised Sony's flexibility when it comes to matters of the 'online' variety, also noting that Microsoft haven't quite got there yet.
"Out of all of the third-party companies making use of the digital space, Sony recognises Capcom is one of the best partners for content. We’re supporting PlayStation Network like no other company," Capcom’s digital product manager, John Diamonon offered.
Capcom’s vice president of business development and strategic planning Christian Svensson also chimes in: "Sony’s taking advantage of one of the benefits of digital, in that there are multiple ways to sort, search and put things in front of people.
"As far as Microsoft goes, how can I say this diplomatically, there are things I think they’d like to do to promote content in multiple ways, and I think they’ll get there eventually – but they’re not there yet."
More on all things Capcom soon.
