Speaking to Pocket Gamer, Computer Entertainment's Zeno Colaço has said that the platform is all set for something of a re-ermergence, thanks to the wonders of digital distribution.

Direct download access from the PlayStation Store was added to Sony's handheld via the most recent Firmware update, and this new capability will open up a world of distribution opportunities for game makers.

"I have to be careful what I say but publishers are definitely exploring more opportunities in terms of the types of games they can release on PSP, even in terms of more female-oriented games, puzzlers and less hardcore games," he revealed.

"The opportunity we’re providing with digital distribution will ignite those thoughts."

More shortly.
