Valve to begin charting their plans for Steam conquering the living room next week

Three announcements coming starting Monday

Valve has slipped out a short press release highlighting that they have three big announcements coming next week.

The first of the announcements is due on Monday morning and they are related to their plans to make Steam more accessible on TVs especially in the living room.

The placeholder page for the announcements on the Steam website has space for three announcements with a countdown timer underneath the first. Valve to begin charting their plans for Steam conquering the living room next week

There's also some text which reads, “Last year, we shipped a software feature called Big Picture, a user-interface tailored for televisions and gamepads. This year we’ve been working on even more ways to connect the dots for customers who want Steam in the living-room. Soon, we’ll be adding you to our design process, so that you can help us shape the future of Steam.”

Could the be building up to unveiling the SteamBox? I certainly looks like Valve may just have something to reveal in this respect. We'll let you know as soon as we hear something.
