Trilogy plans sighted for Mirror's Edge
Mirror's Edge: Running on Faith
EA DiCE has revealed that Mirror's Edge will be the first part of a trilogy. Senior Producer Owen O'Brien described the saga as a "three-story arc" in an interview with AusGamers at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
"The story we're telling at the moment is kind of a trilogy," he offered.
However, O'Brien also reveals that the team have plans to base future titles on different storylines in the same game world:
"I think the world we've created: the city, the culture and the environment is as interesting or more interesting than one individual story," he continued, "I think there's a lot of scope to take the story in different directions, or maybe tell someone else's story. But certainly for these first couple of games, it's all about Faith. It's all about her experience in the world."
The release date for Mirror's Edge is the 14th of November on PS3 and the Xbox 360, with the date for the PC yet to be announced.
