Silent Hill: Homecoming slides
Euro debut now set for 2009
Speaking to UK site Eurogamer.net, Konami have confirmed that Silent Hill: Homecoming will not reach Europe this side of Christmas.
Instead, the Japanese firm will now release the game in February 2009.
The multi-platform survival-horror title was expected later this month, and the company refuses to be drawn on the exact reasons behind the slippage.
The game has gleaned decidedly average reviews stateside, and online speculation points to a delay implemented to evade a hectic festive season, packed with triple-A releases; or to allow the developers the chance to spend more time on localisation.
This is the sixth game in the Silent Hill series, and it is the first on next-gen platforms. More shortly.
