Kotaku have reported that the Tokyo Game Show has attracted more of the public this year, although the number of press attendees has fallen.

TGS 2007 was attended by about 11,000 more business representatives than in 2008.

It also seems as though the majority of the press decided not to attend the public days of the conference, passing up the opportunity to mingle with the gaming communities of the East.

The apparent lack of business interest did little to deter the consumers, keen to get a glimpse of the new titles on show, with thousands more flocking to the show than last year.
