Q Entertainment and today reveal a new exclusive, speaking at the platform holder's Tokyo Game Show keynote address. Ninety-Nine Nights 2 is the order of the day.

More highly polished hack-and-slashing seems to be on the cards, with Tetsuya Mizuguchi overseeing the title. The original was created by Phantagram, with help from Q, so it remains unclear who is working on this.

Details are very scant, but Microsoft did talk up the new Star Ocean release as well, the firm clearly keen to show that they are working on plenty of new games that will appeal to Japanese gamers.

Content is key, it would seem, but Microsoft clearly haven't given up on the land of the rising sun just yet.
