Nintendo may be planning to release an official pedometer peripheral - a similar device to the motion sensing 'Wii Jog', from studio New Concept.

Although has yet to respond to requests for comment, images have been spotted on OAMI (the pan-European trademark registry). If confirmed, the pedometer will no doubt be an addition to the successful Wii Fit franchise.

New Concept's Wii Jog is due for release at the end of this month and can be pre-ordered for around 14.99 GBP online. No more Mr. Wobbly Bottom.
