More than 16,000 copies of new Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway have been stolen by audacious criminals in the UK.

The software was valued in excess of 600,000 GBP, and retailers are being warned to watch out for the hooky PlayStation 3 games.

Seven pallets of game copies were pinched in a raid, and when police came across a Renault van containing the titles, they were impounded.

However, the plucky thieves clearly weren't ready to give up on their next-generation booty, and promptly stole the games back from the enclosure just hours later.

Don't buy any copies of Brothers in Arms off men in pubs, players.
