Maddie controversy riles red-top
Bungie note 'unfortunate coincidence'
We can't help but think this is all a big mistake, and that Bungie's new Halo project - whatever it turns out to be - will probably include a character called Maddie, who goes missing, but that hasn't stopped UK tabloid the News of the World cashing in on the internet furore surrounding Bungie's new teaser trailer.
The trailer, which is centered around some kind of urban mayhem (and mentions Halo 3), flicks up the message 'Maddie, where are you?' ever so briefly; forumites across the web debating whether this is a poor-taste reference to missing British toddler Madeline McCann, who disappeared on holiday in Portugal last year.
Bungie, of course, tell us that this is an "unfortunate coincidence", although to be fair to the News of the World, they don't make too much editorial capital out of this one - instead suggesting that Bungie may have to change the character's name.
Still, let's all get angry about it anyway. It is Monday, after all.
