Insomniac against game legislation
Price speaks out against censorship
Ted Price, boss of Resistance 2, has said he doesn't believe America should be introducing legislation to control the release of mature-content videogames. The game maker is firmly anti-censorship, in fact.
"I think video game legislation has no place in America," he revealed to Shacknews.
"It saddens me to see legislators stomping all over our First Amendment rights for their own specific interests."
He believes every medium has suffered a period of relative controversy. "We’re going through what every other entertainment industry has gone through, and that’s being the temporary scapegoat for society’s ills."
Price adds that the industry is in fact capable of policing itself. What are your thoughts, players?
