Its hardly representative of the Presidential run-off overall, but in a new Live poll of presidential candidates, Democratic nominee Barack Obama came out on top.

Obama took 43% of the total vote, in which 100,000 people participated. Republic John McCain meanwhile, managed 31% of the total.

Microsoft reveal that Democratic and Republican convention videos were also downloaded thousands of times, as were voter registration forms.

The 100,000 strong poll is far larger than anything conducted by Gallup, NBC, CNN, et al, making this a very interesting result.
