Chris Easton, Montreal community developer, has told VG247 this week that the delayed-and-rumoured-to-have-been-axed Splinter Cell: Conviction is very much still in the works (we actually saw the team, in Montreal, doing just that last week), the manager promising that the new visual direction is "much better".

"Splinter Cell Conviction is certainly not canned, despite what the Internet mill says, and won’t look significantly different to what you’ve seen before," Easton offered.

"The gameplay’s evolved a lot but the visual direction is simply much better than what you’ve seen."

Apparently, the new SC has come on a lot since Ubidays 2007 - where it was shown prior to being pushed back after a reappraisal of the project.
