Champions League sides with PES
Pro Evolution Soccer will land the rights to the epic Champions League competition, as part of a new deal announced by publisher Konami this very morning.
The partnership will apparently last for an initial four years. "This deal showcases our commitment to taking PES 2009 forward in terms of licences and realism," enthuses Konami Europe boss Kunio Neo.
"The UEFA Champions League is the jewel in the club competition crown, and is just one of many innovations we have lined up for the new game."
Pro Evo 2009 is out on the PC, 360 and PS3 on October the 17th. We'll keep you posted on how the firm will implement the Champions League content as this debut looms.
