EA's venerable studio have let rip more than ten game prototypes that were created in order for the developers to test various parts of Will Wright's Spore.

Each sub-game can be downloaded and played at your leisure, and there's a broad spectrum for you to sink your inquisitive little teeth into. These include a star-propogation simulator, and even a gravitational particle model.

It all looks a little odd, but those of you presently enjoying will no doubt be interested to see these slices of history - which lead to the full game which seems to be selling strongly at present.

Apparently, Maxis were keen to give their fans something of an insight into the game's development. We'll keep our eyes peeled for more Spore tittle-tattle.
