Spore isn't quite out yet, in fact, it won't officially hit town until the 7th of September, however such is the nature of the digital age that will allow you to begin pre-loading the game now.

Those of you that use EA's Download Manager on the will be able to start downloading the game ahead of launch from today, providing, that is, that you pre-order Will Wright's new opus.

Once you've completed the download you'll need to activate the game on launch day, and this could be a more laborious process if servers are straining under the weight of interest as is expected.

So, you can start acquiring the new title now, or you could wait to get it on a disc, like users will need to.

September 7th it is.
