10 million handhelds have now been sold in the land of the rising sun, that's the word out of Japanese weekly Famitsu (this week).

The console launched in at the end of 2004, but have really picked up since the arrival of a new game earlier this year. MH 2nd G has now sold nearly 2.5 million units.

Crisis Core - VII and Phantasy Star Portable have also helped push the PSP, but the top five includes three Monster Hunter games, suggesting the series has been hugely influential to the platform's success.
