Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is to be released on the Wii virtual console. This title, the first ever Mario RPG, was released on the SNES in 1996 in Japan and North America.
The game features a new villain called Smithy who with his evil gang threaten to cause chaos breaking up the Star Road and inevitably kidnapping Princess Peach. The original title was a collaboration between Miyamoto and Square. It'll set you back 900 Wii points.
Also coming to the virtual console is Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels. This previously Japan only release first came out on the Famicom Disk System in 1986. This time it's Bowser doing the Peach kidnapping. This one is slightly less, costing 600 Wii points.
