Sims 3 coming Feb 2009

EA have dropped us a line to say that their money-spinning series The Sims will have it's third incarnation released on the 20th February 2009.
The PC release will be available in retailers and as a digital download. We're told that it'll feature a new seamless open neighborhood, new Create-a-Sim, new unique personality traits, unlimited customisation and quicker gameplay.
The Sims 3 Collector's Edition will be available on the same date, with all sorts of intangible virtual property not present in the vanilla copy of the game. This includes an Italian sports car, and also in-game vintage sports cars to those who pre-order at selected retailers.
"I'm excited to get the next-generation flagship PC game from The Sims Label, The Sims 3, into player's hands worldwide on February 20," said Rod Humble, who isn't a Sim. "The Sims 3 Collector's Edition, launching on the same day, will offer a very special Sims experience to our loyal players."
