ECTS 2003: EA N-Gaged to Nokia
A new deal revealed late yesterday could prove to be a marriage made in heaven for Nokia's N-Gage mobile/gaming hand-held device, due out in October, as it was confirmed that EA and the mobile phone manufacturer have struck a deal that will see several EA properties heading to the fledgling handheld in time for the festive season.
No specific titles were confirmed at this stage, but an EA spokesman commented: "This is a great opportunity for us to extend titles from EA SPORTS and EA GAMES onto a new and exciting game platform," enthused EA Executive Vice President of North American Publishing Nancy Smith. "We plan to make use of all the great features of the Nokia N-Gage." Which presumably means the system's ample multiplayer and graphical advantages over nearest rival; the GBA.
More on this as we get it.
