Electronic Arts have perhaps mustered the best game ever this week, bating that mainstream audience like never before with the enticing prospect which is Celebrity Sports Showdown for Nintendo's console.

The new game will be created by the team behind Playground, with 12 outdoor pursuits playable. We're promised a party game of epic proportions, and we'll see celebs like Fergie and Avril Lavigne taking on real-life athletes.

Gesture based controls are of course the dish of the day, and the game will be out in time for ('course it will! - Ed). Now, can we have some real celebrities please? Like Jodie Marsh, Kerry Katona (and her taxi-driver husband), Jeremy from Airport, any ex-Big Brother housemates, Les Dennis, the 'other one' from Top Gear and Anne Diamond? Thanks.
