With new already beginning to arrive, challenging World of Warcraft's evident genre leadership, have kicked-off a recruitment drive they clearly hope will head-off pretenders like Online at the proverbial pass.

A new "recruit a friend" initiative will see gamers who get their friends into the game (for 30 days) rewarded with 30 days of free play-time themselves.

Exclusive mounts and bonus 'XP' will also be used to reward gamers who help enlarge the title's userbase. The free play-time will kick in after 30 days, while users whose friends play for 60 days or more will get the mount - Zhevra.

Friends will also be able to summon each other, and pals can also grant each other a free one-level jump.

When you play with your friend, you'll also gain 'XP' three-times quicker than usual. Which is quite a plus, when you think about it. More WoWing soon.
