Red Steel 2, the sword-wielding sequel in-bound from Ubisoft, will make use of the Wiimote add-on we learn this morning.

The controller enhancement was announced at Ubi's E3 briefing two weeks ago, and makes the device more subtle and accurate in its interpretation of movements.

The publisher reportedly believe the new can help their designers realise their swordplay ambitions.

"Red Steel 2 has been in for many months now, and this new device will help us be even more precise in what we do with the product," Alain Corre of told GI.biz.

"The Red Steel brand is strong - I think we released it on year one, and that people understood that it was a first try on new technology, technology that wasn't completely finished. And our game tried to grab the best out of it, and was a bit rushed to be sure to offer something in year one to Wii consumers."

Corre added his belief that MotionPlus can make a fundamental difference to the experience on offer.
